The Church of St. Maclou
The Milan Cathedral
The Siena Cathedral
Above is an amazing site on Gothic Cathedrals which played a huge part in all of the Renaissance eras. Below is the website review.
Accuracy– This is one of my favorite sites in that it covers the essence of the Gothic Cathedrals in not only the Late Middle ages but in even today’s society. Cathedrals are still used including Westminster Abbey which has recently made history with the marriage of Kate Middleton and Prince William.
Authority– This site was created by David Maculay, Marie-Pierre Perdrizet, and Percy Watson provided by thinkquest.com
Objectivity-ThinkQuest is a site for students to gain accurate information for various topics.
Currency– This site is updated regularly although the pages that are already on it such as the Gothic Cathedrals site is not update but does have accurate information.
Coverage-This site covers Gothic Cathedrals through various time periods.
Above is yet another great site offering information on Medieval Gothic Cathedrals. Below is it’s site review.
Accuracy– This site was created by a history and travel enthusiast and shows to be accurate information.
Authority– Unlike some of the other sites, this page has no author name but does provide background information on the creator. The author doesn’t seem to have any scholarly background, but being a history and travel enthusiast has led him to “devour” tons of history books. Sometimes it’s good to gain information from an independent studier. A lot of times they have accurate information that is missed or overlook elsewhere.
Objectivity-This sites objective is to give the viewer a trip to places they may not be able to visit. Surfing through the site is a lot like being there. This site offers a little more historical background behind the architecture which I find truly interesting.
Currency– This site is updated and current. On the bottom of the page it says copyright 2006-2011.
Coverage-This site covers Medieval Gothic Cathedrals.
